Paul Sorauer - Director / Software Architect

Paul Sorauer
Paul Sorauer was born in London to Australian parents, and was educated predominantly in the UK. After attending The King's School Canterbury, Paul read a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Theological Studies at The University of Exeter with a view of being ordained as a priest in the Church of England.
 
Life was to take a rather different track for Paul however, and he moved to Australia in 1997.
 
Building upon his prior programming experience gained at high school, Paul invested in three years of self-study before starting work professionally in software development, coming to Sydney in 2000 for a six-week contract. He has never left.
 
Paul has had a diverse range of experience having worked on a number of software development projects over the years. These include projects for enterprise-level corporate companies, line of business applications for SME's as well as 'Off-the-Shelf' software products for ISV's (Independant Software Vendors). This experience has afforded Paul the skills to communicate effectively with business stakeholders regardless of technical knowledge and to fully understand his clients' business models and operating strategies, whilst being experienced in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) involved in bringing a software project to completion.

Paul has built Code Red Solutions from scratch, officially starting the business in May of 2007 after sucessfully completing a Certificate IV in Small Business Management. Previously Paul worked as an independant software contractor for various SME's and was a Senior Software Architect at SSW.
