John Murphy - Technical Writer / Project Manager

John was educated at Rostrevor College in Adelaide, and at Monash and Deakin Universities in Melbourne. He has an undergraduate degree in Professional Writing and a post graduate degree in Computing Science. John is a trained ISO9000 auditor, and worked in the printing and typesetting industries before switching to Information Technology.

John was the Quality Manager for the Telstra Y2K team charged with auditing Telstra’s 13,000 buildings for end of millennium IT issues. He was also the SOCOG Technology Manager for the Common Domain at Homebush during the 2000 Olympics and Paralympics.

He has worked with small to medium sized enterprises to establish core policies, procedures, and processes to assist the enterprise staff to provide consistent customer service which meets and exceeds customers' expectations.

John has had extensive experience with software user manual development, and with documenting PC based client server systems. He has worked with multiple clients to build disaster recovery and business continuity plans, and has project managed successful ISO9000 certifications within the software industry.

John has produced online document systems, working mainly with HTML Workshop, Author-IT, and Help & Manual. He has coordinated with engineers to help produce the right document for the task, providing training, editorial help and document design resources to the project. He has lead document production teams, instigated document control systems, created templates, and provided editorial oversight and style guide management.

John values his fine tuned ability to target an identified readership's English and technical ability, using that information to produce the correct document for every situation.

Tony Xavier - Business Analyst / Developer

Anthony started work in the IT industry in 1993. During this period he has worked on various contract and permanent roles.

The first few years Anthony spent time building PC's for statewide rollouts in Queensland for Telstra and Blue Nursing Retirement Villages. Also during this period he spent a large proportion of time writing a wide range of technical-related, user-related, guidelines, and specifications for small to large scale government and private business sector companies.

During the late 1990's, Anthony invested in developing his software and internet programming skills. He worked on various small scale projects with budgets around $35k to large E-commerce enterprise level projects with budgets of $4m.

Anthony has spent a good deal of time learning and applying the Rational Rose knowledge base (a full Software Development Life Cycle methodology) to a few key projects including an extensive, highly functional website for Blackwoods.

Of late Anthony has been specialising in Microsoft SQL Server and the Microsoft .NET development platform.

Paul Sorauer - Director / Software Architect

Paul Sorauer was born in London to Australian parents, and was educated predominantly in the UK. After attending The King's School Canterbury, Paul read a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Theological Studies at The University of Exeter with a view of being ordained as a priest in the Church of England.

Life was to take a rather different track for Paul however, and he moved to Australia in 1997.

Building upon his prior programming experience gained at high school, Paul invested in three years of self-study before starting work professionally in software development, coming to Sydney in 2000 for a six-week contract. He has never left.

Paul has had a diverse range of experience having worked on a number of software development projects over the years. These include projects for enterprise-level corporate companies, line of business applications for SME's as well as 'Off-the-Shelf' software products for ISV's (Independant Software Vendors). This experience has afforded Paul the skills to communicate effectively with business stakeholders regardless of technical knowledge and to fully understand his clients' business models and operating strategies, whilst being experienced in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) involved in bringing a software project to completion.

Paul has built Code Red Solutions from scratch, officially starting the business in May of 2007 after sucessfully completing a Certificate IV in Small Business Management. Previously Paul worked as an independant software contractor for various SME's and was a Senior Software Architect at SSW.
